What if Overcooked happened in zero gravity?
Cooking games are fun because of the chaos and the coordination falling apart under pressure. We loved that. We also loved what Zero-G movement feels like in VR.
So we started building a drive-through diner where none of that is grounded. Customers pull up in cars. Food needs to get to them. And the whole thing happens while you're floating.
Space Diner is a multiplayer co-op cooking game for Meta Quest. You're working a drive-through inside a space station, which means:
The loop is simple, but once you play, it gets chaotic pretty fast. This is exactly what we were going for.
Built in Unity targeting Meta Quest. We each brought something different to the project: coding, design, project management, community building, and social media. Nobody was doing everything, but everything got covered.
We drew a lot of inspiration from Echo VR for the movement feel. The grappling hook came together during the accelerator and it's already in the build. It changes how you move through the space in a way that clicks once you try it.
