Cocoon Weaver
A meditative VR experience about building a cocoon around yourself
VR Winner of PPXR Hackathon 2026
Cocoon Weaver is a short-form VR experience that places the participant's own body at the center of spatial transformation. Using slow, deliberate gestures, the participant gradually constructs a cocoon around themselves, layering material, light, and sound. There are no menus, no symbolic controls, and no narrative objectives. The environment is shaped entirely through natural motion and spatial awareness.
As the cocoon forms, the environment becomes increasingly enclosed. The participant experiences a gradual transition from openness to containment, creating a heightened awareness of scale, personal space, and embodiment inside VR.
When the cocoon finally bursts and releases a swarm of butterflies, that enclosed world suddenly opens outward. The environment then resets, inviting the cycle to begin again.
